I want a super stable router for a amateur server farm I want to build in my garage. Any recomendations? Have a recipe of hardware / software you think would result in a super reliable router that I would not have to reboot but say once a year ?

Thanks for the very useful guides above.

But, I flashed my WRT54GL Ver.1.1 with Tomato V.1.21 firmware, the progress bar stopped in the middle and no “Upgrade is successful” screen appeared after 15 minutes.

I did a hard reset. After which, the Tomato firmware seems to work and display correctly. But it can't connect to my ISP.

I've tried re-flash the same Tomato firmware again, and it can connect to my ISP but only temporary.

I tried connect to my ISP directly without the router, and it worked. So it's has nothing to do with my ISP.

At last, I tried to flash to DD-WRT V.24 SP1 specifically for WRT54GL Ver.1.1 and it works perfectly.

Have a nice day.
